The Practising Law Institute is holding the Basic Immigration Law 2017 seminar on March 2, 2017. The program will provide an overview of U.S. immigration law, including basic concepts of U.S. immigration law and procedure, and current developments and trends. This program will be extremely useful to attorneys who are new to immigration practice, as well as for those who need a refresher on immigration law or are involved in immigration policy. It also will be useful for attorneys in other practice areas who need to become familiar with immigration law in order to work with immigration counsel or undertake representation on their own.
Representing BMK LLP at PLI’s Basic Immigration Law 2017 will be attorney Alexis S. Axelrad. Born in New York City, Alexis S. Axelrad has almost two decades of experience in immigration and nationality law. Ms. Axelrad received her B.A. from the University of Maryland at College Park in 1994. After earning her J.D. from New York Law School, Ms. Axelrad was admitted to practice in New York in 1998.
